Ok so maybe not this very moment... but I wanted to hurry and post a quick update on our family. SO much has been going on... so much actually that I am going to leave that for another post that is going to be MUCH longer than this one... but I do have PICTURES!!!!!!!!! Crazy, Beautiful, LOVE

Indie got blessed at home on Sat. May 1, 2010. It was such a beautiful blessing and we had all our closest family and friends there to share our special day with us! Indie's fabulous dress was bought while I was in Hawaii and 8 months pregnant with her. Nick's grandma bought it for her and what a gorgeous dress she chose. To be honest I was really nervous about the purchase. A- since I was not there helping choose the dress B- really wasn't sure what to expect. When we got home from our vacation Nick's gandma gave it to me. I was taken back. It was the single most beautiful and stunning dress I had ever seen. It was like she knew exactly what I wanted. LONG and Ornate! That is exaclty what she got! This dress means alot because his grandmother has not done this for too many of her great grandkids and she already knew that Indie was gonna be on her FAVORTIES list! I mean c'mon!?!? How could you not love such a beautiful face? So a special thank you again to Grandma Isgett! We love you and are so greatful for the wonderful dress you got our little angel baby!!XOXOXO

Now that Crew is almost 2.5 years we decided to get his 2 year pictures taken! Well we would have a while ago but that dang eczema was on his lip so we had to wait to take them. But not without some bruses and scratches to show he is a true 2 year old boy...through and through!! I love all the pictures! They are all my favorite!! He is the coolest and cutest little man... and little devil!! Yes, I said it! Did I mention he is two?? Little side story. The other day I decided to venture out with a friend and we went to Joann's for what I thought was going to be a nice and short trip to get a few things I needed to make Indie a dress. Well, that never happens... NICE and SHORT trips into ANY store. About 3 minutes in there Crew already needed to be put into TIME OUT for throwing tons of thread off the shelves! So I proceeded to put him on a chair and walk about 3 steps away so he knew he was in time out but so I could also see him. Then walks by this lady that proceeds to tell me this " Oh he is just way too cute to be in trouble. You can't get mad at such a darling little boy!" I gave her a friendly smile and said, "thanks! He is cute but also very much a two year old." What I really wanted to say was " Oh really? Then why don't you take him and see how he acts for YOU!! Oh and by the way TAKE the 3 month old while you are at it!!" Let's be honest.... do I think my kids are the cutest and greatest things on this earth?? YES!! Are there days I want to throw in the towel?? YES! But I also wouldn't trade motherhood in for anything in the world! I can't get over either of my kids! They are both the greatest gifts I have ever been given!! LOVE YOU CREW & INDIE!!

Priceless Pictures

I took these pictures and didn't even realize that Crew and Indie matched! SO CUTE! Just a side note: I have to say now that we have found a solution for Crew's poor lip (he has eczema bad), there is NOTHING better than a wonderful doctor and NOTHING WORSE than a horrible one! We have tried literally everything on his skin to help it not break out during the winter months ( eczema gets way worse in the dry cold.. yeah why do we live in Utah again?). He broke out with this dryness on his lip about the end of December last year and it hasn't gone away. We went to a HORRIBLE dermatologist who basically said he had a "oral fixation" and the it was my fault cause I was not stopping him from touching his lip. IS HE SERIOUS? Does he realize that Crew is two? ALL two year olds drool, touch their face constantly, and most of all if something is itching THEY SCRATCH IT!! I felt so bad that there was nothing that we could do that he hadn't already done. When I say we did everything... literally we did everything we could think of! Well that is until my sweet friend, Ashlee, gave me her dermatologists number. NIGHT AND DAY I tell you! She was the sweetest person ever. She listened to ALL my questions ( and you know I had a million!) She never thought any question was dumb, unlike my other Dr. I was just pleasantly surprised by her bedside manner. By the end of our little visit I wanted to hug her! Really! I think I said "thank you" to her at least 30 times! She told me to give him a Clorox bath once to twice a week and gave me the most amazing lotion to use on his lip. When Nick and I left her office we looked and each other and could not believe this other DUMB Dr. didn't give us ANY of these simple solutions! Well let me tell you... over night his lip started looking better. It has been 3 days of putting the creme on morning and night, and it is ALMOST COMPLETELY GONE! no joke! I want to cry! I have my little boy back! Not that he was ever gone but he was always scratching at his lip and now he has not even touched it once! Morale of this story is: GOOD DOCTORS are few and far in between. I am just glad I have a fabulous OB-GYN, pediatrician, and now dermatologist. Now I need a good dentist and family doctor. ANY suggestions? Thank you Ash for your inspired referral! These pictures are from today.... look at the difference in under a week? AMAZING!! I can't wait to see what 5 more days make it look like! Hope it's completely gone so I can get his 2 year pictures done!!!

Where to sleep?!?

Crew is notorious for coming out of his room when it is time to go to sleep. i find him in random spots ALL THE TIME! Can you find him in the last picture?? He is so funny. He can not handle missing out on any of the fun! I just love him, even if he is stubborn little one! Like father like son!! Gotta love a family filled with stubborn people!!

Yes he is asleep on the stairs! I had to move him this time cause he was kneeling and it looked so uncomfortable!!!

Can't leave out "baby sis". She is such a good baby! How can you not just love that face?? Really? Don't you just want to eat those cheeks! LOVE HER!

Potty Training Update

Update: We have #1 down!!!! No accidents in nearly two weeks!! Now if we could only go #2 on the potty!?!?! He has not even gone ONCE in the potty. Will he ever get this one down? I am over cleaning out "you-know-what" out of his underwear!! SO GROSS!!! Please magic potty fairies come help my little boy go #2 on the toilet!!!

Glitter Cups

A few weeks go I went with one of my best friends, Staci, to Dear Lizzie for a night of glittering fun! We signed up to do these fabulous glitter cups. They are so girlie and so much fun to have a drink in. I used mine while on a girls trip to Vegas. I am planning on making many more. So maybe you will be the next owner of one of these beauties for a birthday present, baby shower gift, or just for fun!! I love them!!

Potty Training!!

I think this has to be the worst and hardest part of parenting, so far! I really don't like this whole potty training thing! It is SO hard! Day one was probably one of the hardest days to get through thus far with kids. Crew did NOT potty on the toilet once, NOT ONCE!!! We did so many fun and creative things to try to get him excited and wanting to "pee pee on the potty". Nothing worked I tell ya! We colored the water blue so that when he peed it turned green. Didn't work. Shampoo to make bubbles. Didn't work. Fruit loops for targets. Didn't work, although he loved seeing them being flushed away! Read books, sang songs, etc. nothing worked! As day one went on he at least got closer to the potty when peeing our pants! By the end of the day he went from peeing on the couch and floors to peeing right NEXT to the potty! Oh the joys! Day two turned out to give us 2 success pee pees in the potty, but no poopies! We were THRILLED! We jumped up and down, had a party in the bathroom! Hooray! Potty on the toilet! He got any treat he wanted and got a "Coney aka Coraline" sticker to put on his potty chart! Day 3 something must have kinda clicked cause we got a 50-60% success rate that day! Still no poopies! Nap time was a success too.. not a drop! I think he is starting to get it or he just loves getting all the attention and treats!! Today is day four and we have not had ANY accidents (so far, knock on wood). We still have not gotten a number 2 but all pee pee has gone DOWN the toilet not in his pants!! YEAH! I am so happy! This still is so hard trying to take care of a 8 week old baby and asking my 27 month old every 15-30 minutes if he has to go "pee pee on the potty!!!" I am hoping this stage doesn't last forever! Cause I am already OVER IT!!! Can't wait to get one out of diapers! Here is to a successful potty training week!

Utah+Winter=SUCKS!

I am so sick of Utah winter I could SCREAM! There are many reasons for that statement but the main one right now is because this winter brought a lot of sickness to my home. Right now Crew, Indie, and myself are very sick and Nick is starting he downward spiral. I feel so bad because my little 2 year old and 6 week old baby are both snot faced and coughing up there lungs. The worst part is I can't really help much at all, cause I am in their same boat. Why do mom's have to get sick? All I really want is to help my little ones get better and I can't get better myself to even help them. I feel horrible hearing them cough. Crew has to be on breathing treatments to help loosen everything so he isn't wheezing and Indie has to be suctioned before and after every feeding to be able to swallow and breathe. Both are on antibiotics and I am hoping that it starts to work very fast. The Dr. said they both have a little redness and water in their ears. Not a full on ear infection but the start on one. As well as the flu. Which can very quickly turn into RSV. Scares me to death. I stayed up the first night Indie came down with her cough to make sure she was breathing all night. I have heard way to many horror stories and I didn't want my baby to be one of those. Maybe it's the new mom in me, but I wouldn't have gotten good sleep anyway.
Another reason Utah's winter sucks is because we can't GO OUTSIDE!!!! Well, we can if we want to take an hour to get the kids in their gear. Seems like a lot of work for the little time we will be out there. Esp. when daddy isn't home during the day to help!!
Needless to say I AM OVER WINTER! I want to be able to go running, walking, swimming, etc. without worrying if when I come home we will all be sick again! PLEASE GO AWAY WINTER! BRING ON THE SPRING!! The END!

ONE WORD: PRECIOUS!!

I am so excited about the newborn photos my cousin, Jeanna, took of Indie! I can't even tell you how amazing Jeanna is, so I will just show you. Click HERE Scroll to the post with "INDIE" at the top! There are just a few of the many she took! I am so excited to get them up in her nursery! Cause HERE IS THE FINISHED PRODUCT!! I AM IN LOVE! I had a "vision" of what I wanted it to look like and I think it may be better than what I had in mind! I still want to add a few odds and ends but for the most part its done!! What do you think?? Totally Sassy and not too "babyish". I like the look of being able to have my nurseries grow with the kids. Crews moved with him to his big boy room and I believe Indie's will grow with her for years! I really don't have a FAVORITE part of the room but I do think that her name and the chandelier REALLY make the room!!

CRAZY TWO

I have been so consumed with baby, diapers, feeding, cleaning, feeding, diapers, etc. You get the point!! That I have not had time to write all the crazy things that have been happening around here. So I decided to put them in one post!!!
Crew has been so excited to have a baby in his house. We usually find him in the pack n' play trying to "hold" Indie!! He can't stand it when she is sleeping. So he will usually try to open up her eyes for her. AHHHHHH! Now you may not think that's so bad but when I tell you that his latest new fun thing to do is come out of his room with his diaper off and all the contents inside of it on his hands... YES, you heard it right.... all over his hands, floor, etc. Well now you know why I freak out when he tries to touch her face without me knowing! The joys of two I tell ya! I turn my back for a few minutes and there is something waiting for me to clean up!! AGAIN! I think it may be time for POTTY TRAINING!?!?! We will see!
The other night while putting Crew to bed, we were helping him say his prayer and he decided that he no longer needed help saying the prayer and that he would take over and as soon as prayed for Indie he started singing "twinkle, twinkle little star" It was the cutest thing ever! If you read the last post you know that is his favorite song to sing to Indie. So it was really sweet to hear him say her name and then immediately think to sing her a song!! I love Crew! The moments I want to scream cause I am cleaning up poo off the floor and he is taking his 2nd bath of the morning I will try to remember these special moments!

IndieAnna Brae Odom

FINALLY OUR LITTLE BABY GIRL IS HERE!!! Indie arrived on January 15, 2010 at 1:56pm at 6 lbs 12 oz. 17 inches long. She is our pint size angel! She was a little stubborn arriving into the world, it was a battle between mommy and baby to see who was more determined....and BABY WON! We tried EVERYTHING to get her here a little earlier, but she was not having any of that! She arrived with more hair than we imagined and beautiful long eye lashes! (maybe the only thing she got from her mom!!) She is everything and more that we thought she would be! We just love her so much! Crew is the best big brother to her already! He loves to sing songs to her. His favorite at the moment is " Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star". It melts your heart when you see these tender moments! I can't believe I am a mom of two, but I wouldn't change it for the world. When I am a little less sleep deprived I will write more, But for now... TIME TO GO FEED!!! ( ** my dad has MOST of the pictures from the hospital and coming home since we forgot our camera charger! When I get those I will post more!!**)

I can't believe you are TWO!!

There is so much going on right now and little time to discuss even a little so I am going to for go the last month or so and talk about my little BIRTHDAY BOY!!!!

I am sitting here while Crew is asleep and I can't imagine life without him. Through all the messes, tantrums, and diapers the "I LOVE YOU MOMMY" that he says to me daily makes all of those things disappear. It was 2 years ago today that he came into my life and I wouldn't have it any other way! I remember holding him in my arms for the first time and thinking, " is this angel really mine?" Yes!! He is! I am so grateful to be his mom! He teaches me more and more each day. He is such a special little boy, and he is MINE FOREVER! He is such a "mama's boy" even with his daddy around he still comes to me and says, " Mommy, hold you?!?" How can you resist those sweet words?
I can't wait to see him as a big brother. Not too much longer and I will have another little angel here to love and hold. I have to be honest I am going to really miss being with Crew, just us two. He is my little buddy. We do everything together and we are never far apart. Ever since he broke his leg, ( Yes! you read that right. I haven't had a camera so I have no pictures yet. He is in a cast for the next 2 weeks for a total of 3 weeks. He actually started walking on it today!! Yeah for birthday surprises!) I have had to adjust to doing everything for him again. It has not been easy but I love that he has needed me again, like he did about a year ago! There is nothing better than to give service to your child. I love it and love the joy he gets from everything I do for him.( well, most everything!!!)
So here is to my little man who is 2 today!! Crew, Mommy loves you! Happy birthday!!
I hope you like all your trucks, cars, and train set! You are truly ALL BOY! Can't wait to take you to your party tonight at Pirate Island Pizza!! I love you! You are my BEST FRIEND!!!! XOXOXOXO

WHERE HAVE I BEEN???

So I admit, I have been M.I.A!!! I do have a lot of excuses for why. Here we go...

1. I am Pregnant and sometimes don't feel like blogging!
2. Remodeling the house has taken a toll on me!
3. Didn't feel like it!
4. Trying to get things ready for baby girl to get here!

Even though I haven't been blogging I HAVE been taking pictures!! So here are some of my favorites from the past few months!!!

Helping mom clean... with a swim diaper on his head!!! :)

Our little THIEF.. as we were checking out of the grocery store we noticed that Crew was being WAY TOO QUIET. THIS was the reason, he had taken a candy bar off the shelf and started eating it!!! Don't worry we went back and paid for it!

Crew being silly!

CREW IS IN A BIG BOY BED!!!! He loves it! He also loves to come into mom and dad's room and say " Whatcha doin'?" every morning!!! I love it!
We sold the Audi!!! Down to one car for awhile! Nick loves taking the bus/train! Really he does!

Belly pictures... 22 weeks here! At my 25 week apt i had only gained a total of 5 lbs! I am so happy!!! There is nothing better than to not gain a ton of weight!! Indie is treating mommy good! She will get a BIG prize when she comes out! :)

Date night with Crew! We went to Thanksgiving Point Kids Museum and then to the Deli for Dinner and a BIG Ice cream Sundae! YUMMY!

Crew is going to be a Pirate for Halloween this year! We had our ward "Chili Cook-off" and the kids were supposed to dress up. Too bad it was FREEZING the day we had it. Oh well the good news was that MY CHILI WON!!!!! OH YEAH! I knew it would! I am pretty domestic so I had a feeling!!! :) ha ha!! (OK maybe I'm not THAT domestic but I sure do try!!)

We have had a pretty eventful past few months and only a couple more months til baby Indie is here! We have so much to do with NO TIME AT ALL! I will try to keep you updated as we get closer to her arrival!!!

What's under the bed? Well, it may sound like a scary book to send your kid off the dreamland with but Crew ABSOLUTELY loves it! He now knows the book and will "read" it back to us. It is the cutest thing you have ever seen! He will walk around during the day, stop dead in his tracks, look at you from the corner of his eye, and say, "What's that? What's that?" Then start to laugh hysterically! I just love him and his great sense of humor!! Night Night! TIME FOR BED CREW!!!!

We could not be more thrilled!!! Now for the fun and EXPENSIVE part.... SHOPPING!!! I am off to find this princess her first outfit!!! Then it's planning the nursery!! I may have to take on a second job or maybe even a third... but it will ALL BE WORTH IT!!! Love you all! We can not wait to bring her into this world! Her big brother doesn't know what he is in for!!! Can't wait to see what the future holds!!

We are so excited to add another addition to our family! We have known for quite sometime but have wanted to wait to make sure we were 100% sure!! I am in my second trimester and feeling so much better than the first! I wasn't feeling very well for most of the first trimester, a little bit of nausea will do that to ya! The second trimester has started off A LOT better so I am really excited to get my energy back up into High gear!!! Here's to the next 20+ weeks to go! We will find out what we are having in 3 weeks!!! YEAH!!! We love you all!! XO

4th of July

This 4th of July was just our little family! We went to breakfast in the morning and then spent the afternoon at Seven Peaks Water park. It was so fun! Crew loved the big slides! He laughed the ENTIRE way down!! That night we didn't feel like a BBQ so we headed to the good ol' O.G.! (Olive Garden) Around 8:30 pm Crew was starting to get tired but I was not going to let him sleep with out seeing some FIREWORKS!!! Well little did I know that he was more interested in the Pop Rock things than the actual fireworks!!! Maybe next year he will get to actually see the BIG fireworks!!

The Big 2-5!!!!

Yep that's right I turned the big 2-5 on July 7th!!! I can't believe that I am 25. Really I know it isn't that old, but the sound of saying 25 really creeps me out. This means I can't say I'm in my EARLY 20's, now I am in my MID 20's!!! Crazy!! Thanks to all my wonderful family and friends that made this birthday special! Another year older... let's see where this year takes me! Love you all!!

Swimming Pool

We tested out Crew's new cool pool today!!! Boy does he love it and so do I! We had a blast today! We got out our chairs, umbrella, and Ipod and rocked it outside!! Then we had a little turkey dog BBQ for lunch!!! After about 2 hours playing hard core Crew was wiped out! I love hangin with my BEST FRIEND! We have so much fun together! I love being a mom!!!

Booduh got to come and enjoy the festivities too!! And of course he went straight to the SHADE!!! Love you BOODY!

Memorial day weekend....

We had a fun filled family weekend! We started things off on Friday with a run through the sprinklers!! Can you tell how much fun Crew had? He started off fully dressed like this:

and then finally to this:Classic ODOM trait!! :) Then we went to dinner and movie with our good friends, the Newtons. Saturday we went up to Bridal Veil Falls and had a little picnic with some Wingers (yummy!!) and then went to Barnes and Noble to look at a few books.

On Monday we went to breakfast at One Man Band, one of Nick's favorite places to eat breakfast, and we took a short ride up American Fork Canyon.
(It was short because they had blocked off the road about half way up the canyon so we had to turn around!!! It was beautiful for the time we did spend up there!!) Then we came home and everyone took a nap and then that night Nick and I went to the NO DOUBT concert featuring PARAMORE!!!! It was a really really good concert! He had floor tickets so we got pretty dang close!!

Gwen brought her little guy, Kingston, on the stage for the crowd to sing him Happy Birthday! He was so dang cute, even if he does have a binky in at the age of 3 or 4!!!! HA!

I love hanging out with my little family and glad we had the weekend to ourselves!!! Watching Crew grow up is so much fun, he is the funniest little boy I know! I love that he is mine!!! Happy Memorial Day!!!

Crew LOVES WATER! Warm or cold does not matter... even FREEZING HOSE WATER is the most exciting thing to him! Yesterday we spent a few hours doing the yard work and this is what Crew did:

I had to give my niece her birthday gift early while I was in Vegas, because I wasn't going to be there on her actual birthday! I had the idea to make her a tutu since she loved the Fancy Nancy books so much. perfect gift for her! We had a little photo shoot RIGHT after she got it! It was so fun! She was a perfect little "poser" for the shoot!!! KK (Kaitlyn) thought she was a Princess for the day! I am so glad she liked it! She kept telling me that she pinky swore that she wouldn't get it dirty! I love her!!!! Happy early 4th Birthday Kaitlyn!!! I love you!

There are a few things that Crew likes to do.... 1. Get into everything 2. GET INTO EVERYTHING! He loves loves my jewelry box, which now I can't open because he shoved something in there and I can't open it to find out what it is!! FANTASTIC!!

He is also IN LOVE with his dog! He cries for Booduh all the time! It is so precious! He will just run after him and attack him with hugs and kisses! Of course, Booduh LOVES it and attacks back with lots of licking!!!!

Last but not least he loves to spend time with his daddy!!! His new obsession is trying to play the guitar with daddy!

Happy Easter!!! I know it's a little late but better late than never, right? Our Easter day was calm. We got up and went to church, then came home and looked for eggs, took a nap, made some Easter treats, went on a Sunday drive, and came home and had a good dinner! Kinda weird not spending any part of the day with our families, but whatever! Can't wait til next year when Crew actually gets the whole Easter bunny thing!!!

There is not enough time in each day to get EVERYTHING DONE! One of those things on my list was to post something on here and I never got around to it. So I am going to make this one big post of the highlights of our month!!! Here they are:

Crew is WALKING!!!!

Crew also learned how to go DOWN the stairs ALL BY HIMSELF. Self taught!!! Kinda scary but it is so funny to see him slide down on his tummy!!!

Crew went sledding for the first time!! It was so much fun! He laughed the entire way down and wanted to play in the snow all day!

Crew also likes to make silly faces and drink from mommy's cup!!

I made a blanket for a good friend of mine, Shar, for her soon to be little boy! It was my first one I have ever made and I am pretty impressed with myself. I am not that good but I think it turned out really cute!!!

We went to the mall and rode the carousel for the first time!!!

Can't forget about Booduh!

Those are just a few things that have been happening around our humble abode!

It's that time of the year where EVERYONE IS SICK!!! Well I thought my little family was doing good all until about 2 days ago when Crew woke up not being able to breathe very well. I called his doctor and rushed him in. They diagnosed him him RSV right there. They did 2 oxygen tests on him and they weren't looking very good. So we did a suction treatment. CREW HATED IT! I was almost in tears because we had to hold him down while they stuck a tube in each nostril and sucked everything out of his lungs. Poor guy, almost clogged the machine with all the crap in his chest and nose. After that we did some more oxygen and then took the test again. He went up a few points and his wheezing while breathing wasn't as bad. But there was still a lot of wheezing is his lungs and lots of stuff still coming out of his nose. They sent us home to see how he does until the next day. Well anyone that knows Crew knows he is SO HAPPY ALL THE TIME. A little unusual for a kid that has RSV. He is such a good little boy. He slept for about 3 hours after the doctors appointment and woke up wanting to eat and play with Booduh and all his toys! What a Trooper! He woke up the next morning still wheezing a little but looking a lot better. His oxygen levels were about the same but with a lot more energy! Well as he was eating a cracker that day I thought I saw something stuck on the inside of his mouth. So as the good mom that I am, or thought at the time, I reached in to get it out. Well to my surprise it was not a stuck piece of food at all.... it was a FULL MOLAR! I had no idea that he was even getting that one in. He is such a good boy that it scares me that he won't tell me when he is in real pain. The molars are supposed to be one of the worst and I never knew he was getting ready to get it let alone HAVE IT FULLY IN!!!! I love Crew and am so thankful for the strong little guy he is! What did we do to get one of the most precious angels from up above??? We love you Crew and are so happy you are hanging in there! Get better soon! LOVE YOU!

P.S. Today he woke up chipper as always!!! Still contagious but getting better quickly!!! Thank you to those who have called to check in on him! We love you!

New Year's Resolutions for '09

9. Block the aisles with my shopping cart at the grocery store while looking for what I need.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!

We had such a great holiday season this year. After Crew's first birthday we had non-stop holiday traditions to keep up on. First we had our annual Odom Kids Party. The kids love it so much! This year we made hygiene kits. I think we made almost 80 kits! It was so fun to see all the kids in the assembly line, putting everything in bags and knowing they were helping someone in need. Here are all 19 of them with grandma and grandpa Odom. (#20, Baby boy, is on it's way due in March! Thanks Britt!)

Nick and I went to "The Christmas Carol" at Hale Center Theater. We love it and it puts you in the best Christmas mood!Next fun holiday outing was the Nutcracker! My beautiful niece, Courtney, was the main dancer, Clara. She did such a great job. I am so proud of all my nieces and nephews! Way to go Court!

Next was Christmas Eve! Since the Odom side is so massive we all get together for Christmas Eve, and leave Christmas day to the family! Every year we have dinner, a reading of, "Jake's Orange" from grandma, and a talent show. It is the best tradition. The kids get really excited to show off their "skills"! This year we got a treat from Dave Odom. He wrote a song, sang it, while playing the guitar! It was awesome! Super funny! We also got the karaoke machine out and sang Christmas songs! Every year the kids get pajamas from grandma and Grandpa Odom. They all match and it makes a perfect Christmas picture! Well this year to our surprise the adults got matching pj's as well! SO FUN! We all changed right away into our pj's and ended the night with gift giving between all the cousins! We went home and had an early Christmas for our little family. We opened up all our gifts early because the next day, Christmas Day, we are flying to Las Vegas! Crew LOVED every second of opening the gifts. He didn't really care about the wrapping like we thought he would. He wanted to be ON TOP of all his toys! He was so funny! We had a great Christmas Eve. together as a family! The only bad news was that my family cat of 15 years, Copper, had to be put to sleep that afternoon. He was almost 80 in cat years so he lived a great life. He was sick and needed to be put out of all his pain. We love you Copper and will miss you dearly!

Christmas morning we woke up early and headed off to the airport. Crew got sick in the car and threw up all over his new clothes, blanket and car seat. Needless to say we cleaned up what we could changed his shirt and headed off to catch our plane. We got in about 30 minutes late due to bad weather, but we made it there! We had a fun afternoon as a family with my side opening gifts, watching movies, and playing Guitar Hero! We feel so blessed to have such amazing family and friends to spend these precious moments together! Thank you to all for the love and support you have given us this past year! It has been hard for everyone but with faith and support from all around we can all make it through!

New Years Eve. was spent with some of our dearest friends! We went to Benihana's restaurant. It was a lot of fun. Except crew was not feeling well and was cranky the ENTIRE TIME! He was not having it at all! So after that we went to The Evan's and watched the countdown to the New Year... 2009 BABY! I can't wait to have another year of great memories together with my husband, Crew, Booduh, family, and friends! Here is to a ROCKIN' 2009!!!!

I need a teacher that can teach more advanced students. Ok well a lot has happened this past month! Crew at the very end of September started to crawl up the stairs!!!! At first he only did it a few times and then stopped for like a week, and came back in FULL FORCE! It is seriously a FULL time job just to keep him off the stairs. Putting a gate up doesn't help either... he just crawls right over it. Crawling the stairs wouldn't be so much fun if you didn't have a few accidents right? Well I can assure you he has had a few, and they don't phase him at all. After a few seconds of crying he is back at it to try to get to the top again! I am just glad he isn't trying to go DOWN them. Now that will be a real treat!! So here are some pictures of him crawling up the stairs and getting to the top!!! (**He gets up the stairs in like 5 seconds flat! Its crazy!)

Crew's very first Halloween!!! We had such a fun time dressing up and going to all the fun parties! I taught Crew a few months ago to growl like a dragon. It is so stinkin' cute! He did it when he was in his costume and it was so funny!We also got to carve pumpkins! It was fun but we are NOT good at it! It was worth the try though!!! We had our Ward Halloween party, our family party, and then the actual night of Halloween! Thank you to all that took part in Crew's first Halloween! It was a blast!

FALL IS HERE! Can you tell? The cousins loved making "forts" out of the leaves and wanted to then take some acorns and throw them at each other! Kids and their imaginations! I love it!!! Crew is officially 11 MONTHS! WHAT HAPPENED? WHERE DID THE TIME GO? WHY IS HE GROWING SO FAST? I am almost in tears thinking that I am going to start planning his FIRST BIRTHDAY that is a month away! Can I make time stand still for just a little longer? He is so much fun and just a joy to be around! I don't like this growing up thing!!! NOT FOR ME! :)

We had such an amazing time in Vegas for Nick's 30th Birthday! I don't feel like writing a day-to-day synopsis but I will give you a glimpse into our week!
We ate at In and Out 3 times, went into 10 hotels, went to bed around 2am every night, woke up around 9:30am every morning, ate at some good restaurants, went shopping for 2 days straight, went swimming at the Mandalay Bay's Wave pool (amazing!), started reading Breaking Dawn, Gambled a whole 10 bucks... I can see how people get addicted. When you win you feel on top of the WORLD! But I stopped at a meezley 10 bucks! , went to KA @ the MGM Grand... probably the best show on the Strip! I Highly recommend it!, Cherissa and I got ID'd, and had so much fun I can't wait til our next trip with friends! The best part was that my parents took Crew while we partied it up on the Strip! Thanks so much! It was much needed! Here are some pictures of the days in Vegas! Thanks to the Newton & Evan's for such a great time! Let's start planning the next annual Friends Getaway! LOVE YA!

HAPPY BIG 3-0 BABE!!

Yep that's right Nick is 30!! I can hardly believe that he is now in the 30-59 year bracket!!! BOY IS THAT SCARY!!!! I had so much fun preparing for this day! Since I felt this was a big birthday I figured I would go all out!!! I decided to get him 30 things that reminded me of him. I thought it was going to be pretty easy, 30 things didn't seem too hard when it comes to my husband, but after 24 I had to get pretty creative!!! It was a blast putting it all together and watching him "open" all the gifts! My favorite gift and I believe Nick's as well, was the 30 years of memories book. I got all of our family and his closest friends to write their favorite memory or story of Nick! The stories made Nick laugh and cry! Thank you to all that helped me out to get everything done. I COULDN'T have done it with out you! Here are a few pictures from his birthday! Do you like the tin foil wrapping paper? I LOVE IT! ha ha!

I got nick an entire 7" cake of his favorite dessert...White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory! Sinfully delicious! Here are a few pictures that I took of the book. There are about 8 more pages other than these! Can we say TIME CONSUMING?!?!? It was totally worth it!

Not only did he get 30 gifts, a book, and a lunch date with his two favorite people (Crew and I!!), I am also taking him to Las Vegas next week for a birthday getaway! We are going with 2 of his closest friends he has had for almost 18 years! We are so excited! I can't wait to PARTY LIKE A ROCK STAR!!! I'll post pictures when we get back!!! Now I have to be honest I have a MILLION pictures of Booduh but this is one of my favorite ones! He was 2 months old here and just a little furry fireball! Kinda like he is now, just a little bigger! HE IS THE CUTEST PUPPY EVER!!! I remember this day! It was our first year of being married and our second month having Booduh! We went to my parents house for my birthday and since we were in Vegas he got so hot that any shade he could find he would "hop" his way to it! Yes HOP! He was so small that in even the shortest grass he would have to hop through it! It was so dang cute! He looked like a furry frog!!! I know it may sound dumb to some people,(except you Stac!)but Booduh really felt like my first born. I have to admit I LOVE going to my in laws! Not a lot of people can say that, but I feel so blessed that I can! I love to go over there for a lot of reasons but one great reason is that my mother in law always has something up her sleeve and I always leave there learning a thing or two! Yesterday we made bread. The best bread I have ever had! And it's way healthy for you! We also sat there and looked at all the family photos! Gotta love those! And best of all she LOVES CREW! One of my favorite things to do is be OUTSIDE! I love walking and just being out in the great weather we have here! So Nick & I decided that we would take Crew to the "park" by our house for the first time as a family. It's a very small park, no swings or anything but good enough for Crew to go nuts on! And boy did he! He absolutely LOVED IT! That is until he fell and hit his head so hard that it instantly bruised and looked like he was starting to grow a horn from his forehead! SO sad! FIRST time that happened and surly not the last! He cried for about 2 minutes and then went to go back for some more war wounds!! Here is a look at our afternoon at the park! ( PS Yes we all look really nasty! We didn't take showers or get ready AT ALL that day! It's the weekend do we really have to??)

Fall Fun

We are enjoying the beginning of this fall season. We are loving the weather and love being outside. These past few weeks we have done some fun things! So I decided that I would post about all of it all at once. First off, after a long vacation to the Caribbean we decided to take another little vacation, WITH Crew this time, and surprise my family and fly down for the weekend. My entire side of the family lives in Las Vegas still so they don't get to see Crew's cute face half as much as Nick's family so this was a much needed trip for Crew to see my side of the family. They hadn't seen him since April. So he was definitely a different kid than the last time they saw him. He was a baby before and now he is a little man!! So we flew in on Friday night and what a great surprise it was. Now you have to know that my sister LOVES Crew. Who doesn't right? Well she loves him so much sometimes I think she thinks he is hers!! It's super cute! She is always wanting to talk to him on the phone, wanting pictures everyday, and most of all trying to teach him to say her name more than mine! So my mom knew about the "surprise" and came to pick us up from the airport. We got to her house where my dad and sister were and we walked in and Kenn said something and I responded. She flew her head around and started to cry. Which then made me cry and then my mom. Then my dad comes flying in the room, with his hands in the air and screaming, " Crew is here! Crew is here!!" It was so cute. I love that my family loves him as much as we do! Here are a few pictures from that trip! Thanks guys for a great time. Peck, can't wait to see you in a week. The next fun fall thing we did was, we went to the Utah State Fair with some of our good friends! ( The Newton's, Svay's, and Schultz's) It was so fun to get to see all the animals, even though I kinda felt bad for them. They didn't look like they were having fun at ALL! But Crew and Boston sure had fun with the animals. There were a ton of animals there that they were able to pet and poke at! Here are some of the highlights of that night. The only picture I didn't get was the amazing DEEP FRIED PEANUT BUTTER & JELLY SANDWICH!!! Oh my gosh! Only at a fair right? Well I say WRONG! Not even there. It was so disgusting. Annie saw it on the news and they said it was a "must-have" item at the fair. So what do we do? We get one! It looked nasty to begin with. It was this BIG, round piece of greased out dough covered in chocolate and powdered sugar. Don't ask me why we even attempted to taste this after seeing it. I won't go into too much detail about the taste because you just may decide you need to puke right here right now. So needless to say it was SO GROSS!! So this is my warning to anyone going to the fair, DON'T get a PB&J DEEP FRIED! (F.Y.I they also had deep fried Twinkies, Oreos, and Snicker's bars.) Thanks for a great night out!

Caribbean Cruise 2008

What a great 10 days we had in the southern part of the Caribbean! We started our vacation in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We arrived there on the night of August 14th and met up with my family. We stayed at an amazing resort called, Caribe Hilton. It has it's own secluded beach and it has been known for the title of the very first Pina colada drink! (Lots of bars there said they were the first as well! So who knows.) We were there for 3 1/2 days before getting on board the luxurious Adventure of the Seas! Once on the ship... NON STOP FUN from there on!! Here is what our itinerary looked like:

Day 1: (At Sea) Woke up around 10 am, go get some breakfast, layout by the pool, walk around, take a nap, people watch from the top deck, take a dip int he pool, eat lunch, layout, get ready for our first formal night dinner, take pictures before dinner, eat dinner, comedian show, and go to bed around midnight!

Day 2: (Bridgetown, Barbados) Woke up around 10am, eat breakfast, get off the ship and wait for our excursion guide to get there, Swim with turtles, snorkel to a shipwreck, and layout and swim on a fabulous beach, get back on the ship, get ready for dinner, eat dinner, go to the show, late night karaoke, go to bed around 1am.

Day 3: (Castries, St. Lucia) Woke up at 8am, grab a quick breakfast, get on a bus to our excursion: Rain Forest Canopy Adventure. Zip line over 9 platforms,(one being 879 feet long) AMAZING! Get back on the bus and tour St. Lucia, back on the ship, get ready for dinner, eat, skip the show to play games and go shopping, go to bed around 12:30am.

Day 4: (St. John's, Antigua) Woke up around 8am, eat breakfast, get on a bus that took us about 30 minutes out of the main city, hopped on our OWN boats (YES, we drove them!!), almost fell out of the boat, swam on a secluded beach, got back on the boats, went crazy on them, go back on the bus that took us to the ship, got ready for our last formal night, took pictures, ate dinner, went to the "Love & Marriage Game Show", hung out, went to bed around 12:30am.

Day 5: (Philipsburg, St. Maarten) Woke up at 8:30am, grab a muffin for breakfast, get off the boat, get on a bus that took us into the middle of St. Maarten to our excursion: Loterie Farm Treetop Adventure Tour. Go over a sequence of zip lines, rope swings and 'bridges' suspended from platforms mounted high up in the trees, got out of it in one piece, drove back to the ship, lay out by the pool, get a frozen yogurt, get ready for dinner, ate dinner, went to the "Beatles Tribute" show, played "Lucky Unders", went to the "Quest" game show, went to bed around 1am.

Day 6: (Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas) Woke up at 8am, ate breakfast, went on a water taxi to "Water Island", got on a bike and took a ride around the island, went to Honeymoon beach, played the Waite family version of the Olympics in the event of swimming ( it was definitely a site to see!!!), got back on the water taxi, went shopping around the island, walked back to the ship, took a nap by the pool, got ready for dinner, ate our last dinner on the ship, went to the finale show, played "Lucky Unders", hung out talking and laughing, packed out clothes up, went to bed around 1:30am.

Day 7: Fly HOME!!! After a long day of flying we get into Salt Lake to find that Nick's luggage got lost somewhere in flight! Last seen in San Juan, Puerto, Rico. We had to give all of our info to the airline luggage lady and hope they can find it. (they did that night and it was on our front door step in the morning!!)We then went to Nick's parents house to pick up CREW!!! Boy did I miss him! He was sleeping when we got there, but I couldn't help myself and I woke him up! He had the biggest smile on his face and looked up at me and for the first time (that I heard it) said "MAMA"!!! I had tears in my eyes!! After playing tug-o-Crew with Nick, we got Booduh from Nick's sister, Lacie, and headed home!!

So needless to say we had an AMAZING time! Ten days was a long time to be away from my little boy, but I am so very glad Nick and I got to have the alone time. I just want to thank all of my family members that took care of Crew. Mom, Brit, Lu, Lacie, Kerri, and I am sure Lexi helped out somewhere in there!! You guys ROCK!!! i am so blessed to have such a great family that was able and willing to take on the challenge of having another little one added into their lives for a few days! I can't tell you how thankful I am that Crew was with those that love him. I also want to give a shout out to Lacie and thank her for not only watching Crew but watching Booduh the ENTIRE time we were gone. You were my angel! Thank you so much! I hope he wasn't too much of a hassle! Now to my family... aka MOM AND DAD! Thank you so much for all the absolutely AMAZING vacations you take us on! Every vacations seems to be the best. You guys are so fun and we feel so blessed to be able to partake in these fun filled family adventures with all of you! Dad YOU ROCK!!!!! I can't wait to see where the "Waite Family Fun Mobile" takes us next! It's always an adventure! We love you all! Enjoy some of the pictures we took on our vacation!!!

3 Fears

1. Now this one is really, really weird, BUT I am really afraid of SPACE! I absolutely do not like it at all. It freaks me out to the point of my stomach turning and getting me almost in a hot sweat! I don't like looking at the earth from that point of view. I don't even like to think about it! I have to stop cause I am grossing my self out! FYI... It's a real phobia: Astrophoic!
2. I'm afraid of waking up and hearing a tapping on my window and I open my blinds and staring right at me are someones EYES! No way! I would die of a heart attack!
3. I'm also afraid of loosing my husband, kids, family members, or friends. I would hope I had no regrets, no "what if's". I try to make sure everyone I love knows it and never doubts it!

3 Joys

1. My cute little family! I love my husband so much. He is my best friend! We are definitely soul mates! I love my baby boy, Crew! He is the air I breathe! I can't imagine my life without him. He is truly one of my biggest joys in life! And last but not least, Booduh! I know he is my little puppy but he is like a child to me! I love him so much. He just gets me, even when I think no one else does, I know he does. And who doesn't love to be loved so much by something so small?!?!

3 Obsessions

1. I am obsessed with making sure I do the best I can on ALL my wonderful clients hair. I am such a perfectionist it can get irritating to me. I just like to do their hair as if it were my own, and pay close attention to detail!!!
2. I am also obsessed with working out! I am not in that great of shape right now but I really do love to workout. I feel soooo much better when I have broken a good sweat and gotten my heart rate up that day! It makes me feel so much more energized! Now if I could only figure out how to get off my losing weight plateau I could look like I feel!!! FABULOUS!!
3. I am also obsessed with Reality TV! My husband hates it but I love it! It is my crazy indulgence! I can't get enough! I get so into them sometimes I feel like I am the one competing in the shows! I know kinds lame, but I love it!

3 Random Facts

1. Nick and I were set up on a blind date for our very first date!
2. I always tell Nick to "help" me lose weight or stay away from crap. And when he tries to "help" I get so mad at him and want to eat whatever it is he is telling me not to. I don't ask him to "HELP" anymore! It wasn't going well!!!!
3. I have 3 grandkids on my side of the family and Nick has 19!! Talk about a crazy Sunday dinner! Kids are everywhere!!! It's great! You gotta love them!

3 Goals (in random order)

1. To be a great wife, mom, sister, and friend! If anyone really knows me they know that I LOVE people! I love being around people, helping people, making people laugh. Plain and simple I LOVE PEOPLE! I want to be a great example to others! I know I am definitely not perfect, but I would love to think that all of us have the qualities that others would look up to and want to do better themselves. I have many friends that I look up to and hope that I can be as great of a friend and example to others as they are to me! Let's be honest, the world is in need of good people!
2. I want to get better at doing the small things in life. Stop and smell the roses! Life is going by so fast and I am not sure that we are making the most out of our days and nights! I get so caught up in doing the daily life things that sometimes I find myself wondering what happened to my baby boy! He isn't a baby anymore, and it makes me so sad. I am at home with him all day and I still don't get enough time with him. I want to take more time to spend quality time with those that I love!
3. To get toned up before getting pregnant again! I need to know that it is possible to get back down to my wedding weight before I go for it again! Crew is totally worth all this extra "stuff", but boy would I be so happy if I could get rid of it before the next bundle of joy comes into our lives!!!

I am glad to say we are back form our 10 day vacation to the Caribbean. It was such a great vacation, much needed! I am so happy to be back with Crew! I missed him so much but it was nice to have some time with my hubby! I am still on vacation in my head so I will get pictures and put detail up when I am back to "life". Which will have to be soon since Crew needs to eat, sleep, and play! Can't wait to share all the amazing pictures with everyone!

Today starts the 2008 Olympic Games from Bejing, China. Here is a little glimpse of the opening cerimonies. GO USA!!!

Today is also my nephew, Aidan, first birthday! I am kinda freaking out because Aidan and Crew are only 15 or so weeks apart and that means Crew will be one in 4 months! Time goes by WAY TOO FAST! Happy Birthday Aidan boy!

I am so thrilled that JOSH WON! I knew it was going to come down to Josh and Twitch. When they were about to announce the winner, my heart dropped, and I kinda felt like it was me up there! Then Cat Deeley said, " JOSHUA" and I let out a HUGE SCREAM! I almost cried! I am so excited! He deserves it so much! There were a lot of great dancers this year, but I think he took the cake! Oh wait he did!! All the dances the judges chose were my favorites as well! I was very pleased with all the choices! Also... MARY MURPHY HAS HOT LEGS!!!! Who knew? She always looks chunky behind the panel. I think we were all in shock with that one! She looked really good. Also, I didn't think Nigel did a bad job either. A bit cheesy, but I liked it! I think my favorite number were my man squeeze, Wade Robson's, Believe dance, and the Top Dancer's from all seasons dance. I am not sure if Sabra just couldn't make it or if she was out of town? Sorry I have no pictures of my fun filled night. Thanks to Laura we got to have a party at her house with a lot of our SYTYCD die hards... and a few not so die hards!!! Can't wait for next year! I think I will go by my concert tickets now!!!!!!

Some of the fun things about Crew at 7 months:
-He LOVES his mommy and daddy
-He LOVES to play with Booduh, and Booduh loves it too!(maybe not AS much)
-He LOVES to eat "real" food
-He has 2 teeth and 2 more coming in
-He sleeps for 12 hours at night
-He rolls every where or scoots on his cute little bum
-He tries to crawl but ends up doing some crazy yoga poses. They are pretty impressive
-He went on his first camp-out this month
-He makes a really funny face when he eats mashed potatoes, he makes a puking noise as well! It is HILARIOUS!
-He is a little ham when we go out in public. Smiles at everyone and I mean EVERYONE!!
-HE IS MY BEST FRIEND!!!! I love you Crewzer!

DVD's Galore

This is what I walked downstairs to this afternoon!Crew has found his new favorite toys... all of the DVD's we own! It was so funny because at first he was laying on his back and pulling them all off, then he sat up and got a better grip on them and started having fun again! He is the silliest little boy! Oh how the messes have begun, and I'm sure I haven't even seen the beginning! This wasn't that bad! He also started to say "Dada" again. He stopped there for a little bit, but now he is back on that kick! Why can't he just say "Mama"? I practice it EVERY SINGLE DAY! No luck!

OK so maybe not JUST like this, but you know what I mean! (Look at her abs! Can I please have an order of those? I know the picture is a little scandalicious but I had to post it!) Now is crunch time! I have 2 more weeks until I go on a cruise and I need to lose another 10-15 pounds! I am so afraid I won't hit my goal. I have been working so hard to reach it! If I lost even 10 pounds I would be thrilled. 15 would be FANTASTIC! I would be as thin as I was in High School! I will get there don't you worry but the question is can I get there in 2 1/2 weeks? So any of you who want to try to tempt me with going out to eat or eating crap, NO THANK YOU! These next 2 weeks are "Hell weeks!" That is what I like to call them! So if anyone wants to go workout, walking or whatever, CALL ME! I will go! I'll keep you posted on how I do when the 2 1/2 weeks are over.
** PS I had to post this so I had something to help motivate me. If I don't keep to my word, EVERYONE that reads this will know! How embarrassing would that be?**

To Gettin' Dirty & Camping!!

This weekend we went with our good friends, Brad and Kelly Tate, and Brain and Ashlee Gardner, up American Fork Canyon and went camping. This was our first time going this year and Crew's very first time going ever! He did so amazing, but then again we wouldn't expect anything less than that from him. He is always a delight to be around. The spot where we camped out at was perfect. It was shaded by hundreds of trees and had a great spot for eating and sleeping. The only thing it lacked was a river running through it. Other than that I would say near flawless! We got to roast hot dogs/turkey dogs, make some delicious S'mores, which Reese's Peanut Butter Cups! AMAZING!!! I typically do not like S'mores and I LOVED THESE! I got the chocolate to melt to a perfect stage and then slapped it on the graham cracker. TASTY! We also got another treat that night and that was from our little Owl friend. I have never seen one in real life. It was just a little guy but so cute! It kept looking at Booduh wondering what he was doing or maybe how he could come down and snatch him. Speaking of Booduh. Are you kidding me? He got so dirty I almost didn't love him. He was black by the end of the camping trip. Not only that but with little prickly things ALL OVER HIM! He jumped up on me and that was the end of that, cause I started to get hives! Not sure if he had lots of stinging nettle on him but man, I could not touch that dog. Right after we got home Nick washed him and it took like an hour to get him all cleaned and lookin' good. Now I can hold my puppy again! I love camping. I love the smell you take with you from being by a camp fire... that doesn't come out for days!!! I love that Crew slept all night, and it even rained! He woke up once when Nick and I got in the tent and he pulled his head up and looked at us, smiled a HUGE smile, and went right back to sleep! I could just squeeze that little boy! I love him so much! He is becoming such a little man. I can hardly believe it. Can I freeze time please? He is growing up too fast! I need my baby back!!! Well, thanks to the Tate's and Gardner's for a fun camp out!

BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT!!!! Oh my gosh! I can't even tell you how amazing I thought this movie was. Right after it was over I was ready to go see it again. I know everyone is saying this, and maybe it is because it is so true, but Heath ledger deserves to win an Oscar for his performance. He was so perfect for this part. No one could have done a better job. I really hope they at least nominate him for this part. Even though he died, he still deserves it. To make the movie even better only two words... CHRISTIAN BALE! AMAZING! He is such a great Batman. Not to mention he is super sexy! This movie was intense from the very beginning and doesn't stop until the credits roll. Some may say it was scary but I say two thumbs UP! 5 stars! I think this movie way surpassed the first one, Batman Begins. Although I still love that one as well. This is a MUST see! I won't ruin anything, but the only one thing I didn't like way Maggie Gyllenhaal as Rachel. other than that, it may just be the best movie this year! I have nothing more to say, but GO SEE THIS MOVIE!

"BAD MOM AWARD..."

So I have been debating whether to post this and I have come to the conclusion that I need to for my sake so I can remember this tragic event!!! On Wednesday night I was going about my usual routine of feeding Crew and then starting dinner before Nick got home. As usual Crew was on the counter top in his Bumbo. Just a little side note; Crew is very strong. He wants to stand all the time and never wants to sit. His legs may look chunky but they are super strong. So I start to make dinner, and I bent down to get a pan from underneath my island. As I got it out and put it on the counter top to spray with Pam I hear this LOUD "thud"! OH NO! What happened? All I knew is Crew was NOT on the counter any more. I SCREAMED! He was on the kitchen floor face down, still in the Bumbo. My heart dropped. Was he breathing? Did he brake something? I hurried and got him out and his face was purple. He then took a deep breath and out came the cry I was waiting for. My poor baby. No blood, no bruising to what I could see, but was very scared. Nick wasn't home yet and I was freaking out. What a horrible mom, I kept thinking to myself. How could I let something so bad happen to my little boy? I call Nick and that is when I burst into tears. "It's all my fault," I said. Nick tried to calm me down but I still felt horrible. By the time he got home Crew had fallen asleep on my chest. I didn't want to ever let him go. Not sure if I should have let him fall asleep but he seemed to be fine. I gave him some Motrin that night when he went to bed. I am SURE he had a headache. Good news... the next morning he was COMPLETELY FINE. Crew was back to his happy self. Boy did I feel like the worst mom ever. No worries I got a highchair the very next day. No more Bumbo on the counter top. Funny enough, well not funny, but the Bumbo was actually recalled for that very reason. People were putting there kids in it on high counters and they fall out of them. Maybe I should be better at following rules!! All I have to say is I am so thankful he is OK. Not sure if this has happened to anyone else but I hope I am not the only one who has made this kind of mistake. Why do I have to learn the hard way? Well glad it is off my chest!! Hope no one thinks I am the worst mom ever!!

Happy Birthday to me!! Yeah! I had my 24th birthday yesterday. What a great day I had! The day started out CRAZY! Literally crazy! I was startled when I heard Booduh barking and then BAM! I was being pulled out of bed and a bad shoved over my head. When just then I heard familiar voices. Ashlee and Staci! They were really trying hard to disguise their vocies but it really wasn't working! Ha ha! I hear Staci, in the funniest male impersonation voice I have ever heard say, " You haven't paid you HOA fees. We are taking you to jail." I couldn't help but to almost laugh. it was really funny! I was telling them I think they were in my dream that night and then I hear Ash say, in a males voice as well but a little bit more twangy, "We are not your friends. Where is the nearest jail? You are getting taken there, lady!" Ok now at this point I am still trying to wake up and also I can't see where I am going. So I ask them if i can take off the bag around my head. There it was the huge laugh I was waiting for! So I took the bag off and they are laughing so hard. I still don't know what time it is. So I look at the dashboard and it reads, 5:22am! WHAT? These girls are seriously crazy! Did they really get up at 5am to take me to breakfast? What amazing friends I have! You two are simply the BEST EVER! To make it even better I had no shoes or bra on, and my teeth weren't brushed! Needless to say I looked HOTT! Staci made me look even better when we got to IHOP. She proceeded to put a million ponytails all over my head. I don't have the picture but when I do, I'm not sure I will even show it! I sure have seen better days! ha ha! I love you girls! Thank you so much for being such amazing friends!! So I got back home and try to go back to sleep by now it is 7am and Crew is still asleep, so why not try right? Well I got another hour and that was it. I got ready and then a few of my close girlfriends went out to lunch at Olive Garden! Love the O.G.! Salad and bread sticks, what else can a girl ask for? We had fun hanging out and eating great food! That is until our waiter aged me. He told me he didn't believe me that I was 24. So I asked how old he thought I was and he said 26. It's not that much older but come on!! Does he see some wrinkles I can't? JERK! He then said it was not because I looked older but because I carry myself better than any other 24 year old he knows. Which is nice of him, but it still doesn't get him out of being a jerk for aging me!!! After a great afternoon with my girls Nick came home and we took Crew to his sister, Lacie's, house. She was nice enough to watch him for a few hours while we went out. We went to Jordan commons and watched "Hancock". We liked it. It wasn't the best movie we have seen in a while but it was good! Will Smith is always funny! Then Nick took me to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. I can eat just the rolls for an entire meal! They are the best out of any steakhouse I have been too! LOVE THE ROLLS! We enjoyed a great night out! One question. Why is it that when parents don't have their kids and have time together that most of their conversations revolve around their kids? I guess it is cause we just adore Crew so much that we never want to stop talking about him! Keeping him close!! After we picked up Crew we headed home to play the Wii! Yep, Nick got me the Wii for my birthday! I was so excited! I love Wii sports! So much fun. He also got me Guitar Hero 3! I'm not very good but you better believe I will be practicing everyday!!! Thanks babe for a great day and being a great husband!!! We will have lots of great nights playing with the Wii! (Get your mind out of the gutter!) Thanks to all my great friends for a memorable birthday!!! I LOVE YOU ALL! My girlfriends at lunch! You all look so dang cute! Thanks for coming!

Happy (belated) 4th of July!

We started our 4th off with an "all-you-can-eat" french toast breakfast at Haggerman's with some of Nick's High School buddies. Who are now my friends as well!. I must say it was pretty tasty! Their Cinnamon bread is amazing! After one plate of french toast I was spent! NO MORE!(Even though there was only 2 pieces on a plate, I couldn't put anything else in my mouth! Good thing it was only $3.00!!!) We went on to go to Brighton Lakes for a nice hike! Or so we thought! We (when I say "we" I mean Nick,myself, Crew, Bret, and Cherissa Newton) were all dressed for the occasion; in our "summer" hiking attire! We were all so happy because there was a breeze and it was slightly overcast. Great for hiking in July! We got to the 1st lake, Lake Mary, and WOW! It was beautiful! It was a little cooler at this point but it felt refreshing.After a stop to enjoy the view we push along on the trail and head to the next lake. We thought we would have been to the next lake about 20 minutes later. Well we would have if we would have been on the actual TRAIL! We had veered off somehow to another trail that headed no where! This trail was also ALL SNOW!!! Yes that is right I said SNOW, and lots of it! As you can see. I could not believe how much snow there was. Is there really a drought in Utah? After seeing that I can't imagine. Now let's remember... we are all in summer attire in the SNOW! Not fun! It started to get really cold and I was slipping all over the place! At one point I almost fell down a part of the mountain. SCARY! We finally found the right trail, after hiking straight up the mountain about 300 feet, and got to the last lake! From there you could see the other two lakes! Breathtaking! It was truly beautiful! So we made it to the top, now back down!! This is how Nick and Bret decided to get back down. Lucky for Crew he got to ride down!!
What an adventure we had! It was so much fun. A lot of laughs and great memories! After a 5 mile hike Crew was exhausted, as we all were, but he got to sleep! Don't we all wish we were a baby! Sleeping anywhere at anytime! What a cute little bug, sound asleep. Thanks Bret for carrying Crew! (He wanted to by the way, we didn't make him! Great practice right??) Bell Canyon Hike

What a great state we live in to go hiking. There are so many trails and wonderful sites to see. Today, we decided to take Crew on his first hike! It was so much fun! We went up to the Bell Canyon trail. For anyone that doesn't know where that is located, it's a trail right off Wasatch Blvd. in Sandy. Such a great hike to do. You can either hike to the reservoir up and over one part of the mountain or to the waterfall up the mountain about 1 hour further. This was our first time as well hiking with a baby on board. Can we say much harder and not be called wussies? Because it sure was. Not to mention the blasted heat that we were trying to hike in. Thank goodness for the streams along the way! We stopped at the bridge where the water was just gushing down the hill and there was a good amount of shade! We got to put Crew's little tootsies in the cold water. At first he didn't like it because it was WAY cold, but then I think he felt how good it made him feel and wanted lots more!!! Nick and I both got our shirts drenched in the water as well and good thing we did because it was hotter on the way back down than it was going up. Boy did it feel great, not only the nice, wet, cold, shirts on our backs but just to be in the mountains and see all the beautiful things we have here. By the end of our hike, Crew was fast asleep in the Bjorn. He is was tuckered out and so were we! What a great way to spend a summer afternoon!

...BATH TIME!!!! Crew absolutely loves the water. He is my little fish.Last night we decided to take some pictures of this fun event! We had a blast watching his eyes light up when he got to play with the bubbles and find his hands underwater. We don't have many bath toys, but rest assured we are going to get some ASAP! Let me tell you one thing that is for sure... he is one slippery devil! We usually take him in the shower with us and it really isn't that hard to hold him, but for some reason he was slipping through our fingers all night. I felt bad because a few times he accidentally fell backwards!OOPS! Boy did we have fun. I just love his cute little bum! I want to pinch it everytime I see it!! Bath Time is definitely a hit in our home!!

Yes, that is right! I went to Powell for the very first time this past week! What an amazing & beautiful part of this earth!!! I LOVED IT! Crew and I got to go with Nick's parents, sister (Kerri), Kerri's family, and my niece, Lexi! What a great time we had. It was fun to get to bond with everyone in such a beautiful place. While we were there Crew made some big milestones! He got his very first TOOTH! I couldn't believe it! The best part is... I didn't even discover it! Kerri did!! What a great mom I am!! He wasn't acting to crazy but then after we figured it out I thought back and he was acting a little fussier than usual, but I thought it was just the blasted heat. NOPE! So good thing I brought my handy Motrin. Can't go anywhere without that. After getting that in him he was back to his happy go lucky self...my little boy! Crew also started to say, "DADA". I am almost positive it's because I kept saying, "Where is your dada?" Nick sure does love that he is saying that first!! NOT FAIR! Next time no other words will come out of my mouth but "MAMA"!!! Just Kidding! I love that he says "Dada" as well! We are so proud of our little guy! He sure loves the water and wants to be in it every second he can! I can't wait til he can go tubing with me! I am QUEEN of the tubes! It was a blast! Last year I didn't get to tube cause I was Prego. So this year I am trying to make up for lost time! Needless to say we had a lot of fun with the family but sure wish Nick could have been there to enjoy these experiences with us! Next time, Babe! We took tons of pictures with my camera because my mother in law dropped hers in the water! OOPS!!!! Not the place you want to lose anything, cause it's never coming back!! What a Trooper

Well I am happy to report that the surgery yesterday went as planned. GREAT! Crew was the man of the hour at Primary Children's. He melted everyone's heart, as usual! He was such a good boy. For not being able to eat for more than 12 hours he was amazing. He cried when he first woke up but then after Nick gave him a blessing everything went smooth. We got to the hospital around 7am and got checked in and waited till they called out "Nicholas Odom" (Nicholas is Crew's first name, I always get so confused. When they call me for Crew and say, "Are you Nicholas' mom?" I always think,"NO I am his wife." And then I remember!) So they call us and we go to one of the rooms and get Crew in his hospital clothes and get his all checked out before we go into the Pre-Op waiting room. Here he is looking so dang cute in his hospital clothes!

So we had to wait in the Pre-Op waiting room for about an hour before his doctor, Dr. Brent Snow, and the anesthesiologist came to talk to us about what was about to take place. They made us feel so at ease. I was feeling OK about it all. He wouldn't ever feel the needle go in for the IV and the breathing tube would go in and out before he ever woke up. So that made me feel a lot better about the whole surgery. I didn't want my little 6 month in ANY pain. What mother does? So we follow the anesthesiologist back to the O.R. and he asks to take him from me to take him back. My heart dropped! I put on my strong mom face until those doors shut. I started to cry. What if something goes wrong? What if he doesn't wake up? Everything starts rushing through my head, especially because we just signed the stupid paper that says it isn't likely but with anesthesia there is a chance you can DIE. I hate that paper. Nick had to sign it. So Nick and I go to the parent's waiting room and sit in there, with all the other parents, and wait till Crew's doctor comes in and gives us a full report. About 40-45 minutes later there was Dr. Snow!! Everything went just as planned! Crew did amazing! he has a few stitches but everything looks like it should! So, for those that don't know why he went in for surgery, we didn't know for sure until he had surgery but we thought he might have this thing called Penile De torsion. Where in his penis there could be a vein that is crossed with another vein and it would make it hard for when he is older to get an erection. Not what you want to hear, especially from a father's standpoint!! So we opted when he was 2 days old to wait to get him circumcised as well. We have heard so many horror stories about how the doctors circumcised their son's wrong and now it is not straight or still has foreskin left over. NOT WHAT I WANTED MY SON TO HAVE!!! So we wanted it done by hand. Not with the metal bell or the thing you leave on and pray it falls off. So when the Dr. went in to look at if he had Penile De torsion, he didn't. It was only skin deep. So he put a few stitches to make sure his erection was completely straight and did the circumcision. It is all wrapped in gauze so we haven't got to see it yet, but I am sure it doesn't look pretty! Anyway, so after he is back in the Post-Op room one parent gets to go back and be with him for a little bit. So I went in there with his special blanket,(thanks Kelie, the blanket you made him is his favorite! I may push it on him cause I love it so much too!!) and there he is! All bundled up in those amazing warm blankets you get after coming out of surgery! He is sound asleep, and looks like an angel! So at this point I am REALLY waiting for him to wake up so he can feed! I almost looked like a porn star! So engorged and ready to burst! Needless to say when we got into a room of our own, I put him right on and he seemed to be just as happy as I was! What an amazing little man I have. He hasn't been too moody at all. He actually woke up this morning laughing! YES, laughing!! I am so blessed to have such a happy and healthy little boy! He truly is one of the best things that has ever happened to Nick and I. We love him so much and are so happy that this little surgery went so well. The priesthood really works, and I can testify of that. I am so lucky and blessed to have a husband that has that authority and wants to use it. Babe, you are amazing! The best father and husband I could ever ask for!!! We are happy that Crew did so well! You Rock, Crewzer! Pictures after he woke up! Still kinda groggy and loopy but still so happy!! He didn't know what the heck just happened! Now on the road to a fast recovery! Thanks for all your prayers!! We love you all!

Memorial Week....

I feel like I haven't posted anything in forever, but that is because we have been in Las Vegas visiting with my family for the entire week! We drove to Vegas on Friday afternoon, NOT a good idea when it is Memorial Weekend, we were stuck in traffic for almost 1 1/2 hours, and that only got us to Spanish Fork!!! NOT FUN! But we made it with no other delays! Crew I must add was AMAZING! I just have to brag for a minute! He is the best baby on the planet. He slept the entire way, I woke him up to feed, and that cute boy went right back to sleep! He is so amazing! I am scared to have another cause he is so good! Anyway, enough of my proud mom kick, we had a fun time. We got to do so many fun things while we were there. We had our family pictures taken. This was our very first as a family! I have only seen a few of the images and I must say my cousin, Jeanna, is amazing! She took our pictures and what an amazing job she did! Wouldn't you agree?! I have one good lookin' family!! Crew look up buddy! He wanted to eat his hand the ENTIRE time! Oh well!! I love you guys!! LOOKING GOOD!

That very same day we rushed out of pictures and went to the Planet Hollywood to see the Broadway Musical "STOMP". It was amazing!!! What those people can do out of garbage cans, lids, water, etc. Incredible! We loved it! Thanks dad for taking us for YOUR birthday gift! Love you!!

On Memorial Day we woke up and got ready to go shooting! Yes I went as well! It was so much fun! I loved it! We went with a guy in my dad's ward that is truly a Jack Bauer. He can't leave the country without telling the authorities and get questioned about everything when he gets back. He deals with a lot of the explosives and large guns. He also has a finger that is cut off that he makes up stories about how it got cut off cause he can't say what really happened! CRAZY! So we got to shoot some really high tech and scary guns! We had at least 10 different guns there! My very favorite was the Assault Rifle! It was wicked cool! It didn't have that bad of a kick on it either, which I was totally surprised about seeing the massive size and all! We also got to shoot this one shot gun, I am not sure what kind but it wasn't your typical shot gun! So I am up to the mark where we shoot at and I am nervous. I had shot with it earlier on in the day and I hadn't remembered if it had major kick back or not. So I am trying to hold it steady and I am kinda shaking. I aim at my target and... BAM! I am flying back, the gun is pointed straight up, and I am bleeding! Not much but on my finger. What in the world? I didn't remember it being that hard. Well after everyone stopped laughing the guy told me there was a MAGNUM shell in the case. The kind our soldiers are using right now. I swear it almost took my arm off! I have a nice bruise to show for it! Gotta love the battle wounds!!

After shooting we went to the park and my dad tried to teach us how to play tennis! I loved it! I am not that great but boy was it fun! Can't wait to take more lessons with you Ash!! So much fun! We ended the great week with some much needed "girls time". So we went and got Spa Pedicures and one hour Massages! I was in heaven!!! I hadn't had a real massage since before Crew was born. I got a prenatal massage like a week before I went into labor but it wasn't very good. They didn't have the prenatal beds so I was on those uncomfortable wedges. I loved having the real deal, without a baby in the belly! Needless to say we had a fun time and loved the warm weather! Now if we can just get through this week with Crew's surgery and all we will be great! I will keep you posted after the surgery! He has to be put under so if you could remember Crew in your prayers that would be greatly appreciated!

Did I hear it right? Cook over Archuleta?!? David Archuleta was ROBBED last night of the title of American Idol Winner 2008! I am so mad! He is by far the better singer. I think the voting was rigged anyway. When I tried to call in I sometimes was sent to an operator or I was calling and nothing was heard on the other end. I am so upset. I thought for sure he was going to win! David Cook is so fake. He does his stupid fake cry where there are no REAL tears. LAME! With 97.5 Million votes I guess you can be happy that millions of people voted for you and you know you will put out an AMAZING record! Especially with the preformance he did with One Republic. Words can't express how amazing he was. That song was the best of the night. David Archuleta is MY AMERICAN IDOL!!! A few girls and I went to the Energy Solutions Arena (aka The Delta Center!) and watched the Live finale. We were so excited to be there! It took us back to being in High School! We caught ourselves some American Idol and David Archuleta T-shirts. Here are a few pictures from the fun filled evening. After the loss we had to go eat ourselves out of depression so we went to Chili's for some good ol' chips and salsa and the ever so delicious... Chocolate Molten Cake! YUMM! We sure did feel a little better after that! Thanks Ash, Kaite, Sandi, Brad, and Katie's Mom for a night of fun!! Next year we are heading for the LIVE finale in LA! YEAH!!

MY 1st MOTHER'S DAY!!!

So it was my very first official Mother's Day yesterday! (I say official because I was kind of a mother to my dog for the last 2 Mother's Days!) We had a good time at Nick's brother,Dave's, house. We had a BBQ and enjoyed just being around the family and of course watching the Jazz Playoff game! (WE WON IN OVERTIME!!!! Yeah! Go Jazz!!!) When we left and came back home we got Crew ready for bed, and then I started to think. I AM A MOM! Wow! I love my own mother and mother-in-law so much and am so grateful for them. They do so much for our little family. We love you guys and are so happy to have you as our mothers! I just can't express how much I love being a mother myself. My little guy is truly one of the biggest blessings in my life. He makes me so happy. He is the happiest baby I have ever seen. He smiles at everyone he sees. Someone told me that if his face isn't smiling than his eyes are. I think that is so true. He brings so much joy into our lives. Being a mom is a HUGE accomplishment in my life. I feel at times like Crew was sent to me to teach me how to do things not the other way around. The love I have for him is unexplainable. It beams throughout my soul. I feel like a little kid in a candy shop when I am with him, I just can't get enough. Being a mom is so fulfilling, even if I don't get to get all the laundry done in one day or clean the bathroom, or better yet take a shower. He makes it so worth it! There isn't anything I would rather be doing than being a mom to such a wonderful 5 month old! Crew, thank you for coming down and being such an amazing little man! You bring me so much joy! Words can't express how much your father and I love you! You bring a smile to our faces each and everyday! I hope you know that we are always here for you and want you to grow into a strong young man! WE LOVE YOU! I love being your mom and I hope that I can teach you how to love as you have done for me! HARMON'S!! The new location off of Bangerter is simply amazing! Nick and I went there just to see how much closer it was to our house as well as get some diapers. Well we left with MUCH more!!! Dinner for both of us, only $4.99 each and it was better than any fast food restaurant. It was so incredible. I couldn't believe that it was a grocery store when we walked in. So impeccably done.The store was spotless and it had everything I needed and much more. It is my new Costco!! And get this. It even has a culinary school upstairs. That's right it has a second story in the grocery store. You can buy your food from the little bistro and then go eat it there as well! The upstairs has a fireplace and professional kitchen with glass windows to look in and watch. They also offer cooking classes! I would love to go to a few. I can't say enough about this place!! I LOVE IT!!! GO HARMON'S!!!

So there is the new car we bought a few weeks ago! It is the new 2008 Altima. We just love it! We have been without another car for sometime now and we have been looking for another car for what seems like an eternity. Ever car we were looking at was a used vehicle and it seems to me that most, not all, but most used car places are a bunch of liars! Is it that hard to get a car that hasn't been wrecked? It seems to feel that way. We were so sick of people lying to us about cars that we decided to just go for it and get a new car. We are so glad we did. We got it loaded with everything we wanted for such a good deal! It was just what we needed. Nick drives to Bountiful every day so this is a good commuter car and gets fantastic gas mileage. A crazy, but fun-filled week!!

The header can say it all! What a week we have had. This past week started out early Monday morning with a trip to St. George with some of my girlfriends from the neighborhood. We left our homes around 8:30am and got to St. George around 1pm. Not too bad with 3 kids in one car and 1 in another. So we get to the house and all we want to do is get in the pool. Sounds like a normal thing to want to do in 85+ degree weather, right? So we head to the pool, everyone is dressed and ready to go swimming! Now one key detail, we had 10 women and 11 kids UNDER the age of 2! Yes that is right! Many very small children in swimmers diapers! So we are in the pool for no more than maybe five minutes and here comes the Grinch of the pool.This old crazy woman starts to go nuts on us. This is how the event occurs:
Grinch Lady: "All those kids in swimmers diapers need to get out of the pool NOW!"
Someone from our group: " Excuse me we have diapers on them?"
Grinch Lady: "We had an HOA meeting and everyone that lives here came and we voted NO KIDS WITH DIAPERS ON IN THE POOL AT ALL. So whoever you are here visiting knows the rules." Well by this point she was getting very heated.
Someone from our group: " Well mam there is no sign posted and our host was never told that rule."
Grinch Lady: " I mean what I said, all kids out now with swimmers diapers on. NO DIAPERS ALLOWED! They must be house-trained." HOUSE TRAINED? What are they dogs?
Someone from our group:" Mam would you like us to take OFF their diapers?"
Grinch Lady: " Well not if they are going to S*#! and P*&% in the pool."
Someone from our group: "Calm down that was uncalled for and you don't need to swear at our children. Now there is no sign up that states no kids with diapers on so we are staying."
Grinch Lady:" We will see about that."

And that was how the first day of the week started! Amazing how that old lady wanted all of our kids out with diapers on when she herself had a diaper on. Depends anyone? C'mon! All and all we had a fun 3 days in St. George with the girls. Maybe some sleepless nights but fun in all! On Wed. morning most of the group heads back home and Crew and myself head to Las Vegas to see my family. My mom came to get us in the morning. That morning wasn't so great, I WAS SICK! I think I got it from one of the kids that was sick there. NOT FUN! We stopped 4 times for me to throw up and go to the bathroom. The worst drive from St.George to Vegas I have ever had. Luckily Crew slept the entire way so we were golden in that aspect. So after we got there we took a nap and it I was starting to feel much better. For the rest of the trip I was back to normal. I was a little sleep deprived, dehydrated, and maybe had too many kids around for comfort!!! You gotta love them! We had fun in Vegas visiting with my family. Nick flew in on Thursday night and we had so much fun! We got to swim with Crew and just sit around! We loved getting to relax in the sun. Crew also passed through another milestone. He ate baby food! I couldn't believe it. He had some sweet potatoes and apples. He just loved it. It kinda made me sad seeing how big he is getting. But he sure is a cute boy! It was also my dad's 49Th birthday on Sunday. So to celebrate we went out on Friday night to the Charcoal Room Steakhouse inside of the Santa Fe Station Hotel and Casino. I have to admit, it is probably the best steakhouse I have ever been to. Better than Ruth's Chris I think. It's a must if you are in Vegas! We sure did have a good weekend with family and friends! We love you all!

What is his name: Nick... OK his real name is Larry! SICK!

How long have you been married: 3 blissful years!! Amazing what can I say?

How old is he? Turns the BIG 3-0 in October! I can't believe he will be 30!

Who eats more? Back in the day he could...but now we eat about the same, we are trying to watch our girlish figures... OK we are trying to lose our girlish figures and get P90X bodies! LOVE IT!

Who said I love you first? crap...I think he did, and I'm not sure he said it back right away. Not fun, but it all ended well!

Who is taller? So, this is a tough one. Realistically, he is. But I swear I am. I can't wear heels with out feeling like what Katie Holmes looks like next to Tom Cruise. A GIANT! Can't he grow a few more inches?

Who sings better? Nick for sure! I love it when he sings to me. I make him sing Disney songs with me in the car! It's fabulous! It is usually to Aladdin's " A Whole New World" so I can be Jasmine and he can be Aladdin. LOL!!!

Who is smarter? So we will answer this by High School grades!! I graduated with Honors and the top of my class and he had to have his mom plead to his counselors to LET him graduate!!! So you make that decision!

Whose temper is worse? Hands Down.... Both, we are about equal... but I hold mine in more!

Who does the laundry? Nick would say he does it all the time, but if once a month is all the time, then he wins! I DO IT ALL THE TIME! especially with a little guy who likes to spit up all the time! So fun!

Who does the dishes? He does! It's a great routine. I cook, he cleans!

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? He does, it's closer to the door so if a robber comes he can protect me. I know not a very good reason but he was there first!

Who cooks dinner? ME... and I must say I am getting much better at it! Thanks for all the recipes.

Who drives when you are together? He does... but now with the new car I think I might want to take over sometimes!

Who is more stubborn? Definitely the same. We both are really stubborn 'cause we both want to be right all the time! See I can admit it!

Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Ummm... not sure. We usually get over fights with in an hour. We try not to keep a grudge going, it's not healthy!

Whose parents do you see the most? Nick's for sure! Mine live in Las Vegas.

Who has more friends? This isn't tough at all.... ME! Way more popular! ha ha

Who has more siblings? He does...5 brothers and sisters... me 2!

Who wears the pants in the family? I would like to think we both do! We are equals! We both try to give as much, if not more, than we take! I have the most amazing husband! I LOVE YOU BABE!!

APRIL FOOLS DAY!!!

So I have been sitting here trying to figure out a good prank to pull on everyone but I can't seem to find a really good one or better yet a believable one! So instead of doing something really crazy, because I did think of a few funny ones, I would share one of the April fool's day pranks that was pulled on ME! So it is April 1st and I am a Jr. in High School, the school day is over and no pranks have been pulled, at least not on me. So there I am walking out of the school with my brother and some of our friends. As we get about 20 steps out of the school I see a police car and then on the loud speaker, " Whitney Waite (my maiden last name) get on the ground." I am thinking they have the wrong name and person. There is NO WAY they are calling out my name. Then a distinct name is shouted again, " Whitney Waite get on the ground." Now I look at my brother and am thinking what in the heck is going on? He is just as shocked as I was. Or at least it seemed like it. So I act like I can't hear the LOUD voice on the LOUD speaker and I keep walking to my car. Well that wasn't the smartest choice I made that day because no more than 20 seconds later I see a group of kids pointing my way and one of my good friends shouts my name. I turn around and coming at me full force is a Police officer. Literally he is running after me. I am now in shock. What in the world is going on? What did I do? I know I didn't ditch that day so they can't be after me for that. Well as everything is going in slow motion and the officer is pulling on my arm (not hard) I can clearly see my MOM standing by the cop car and with a blow horn and she shouts April Fools!!! So I look up at the officer and it is a kid that use to be in my mom's seminary class who became a police officer after High School. He started laughing and so did the huge crowd that had gathered around to see what was happening to me! Embarrassing could we say? Needless to say my brother and friends were in on it. I had a few people the next day ask me why I was getting arrested and had to explain what happened. What a memory that made! We all had a great laugh after. Now if I could only get my mom back!!! I will think of a good one! She was always pulling fast ones on me. Like the time I was on the Strip for New Year's Eve. and she moved my car so I thought it had gotten stolen, but really she had moved it to another spot!! I found it before I called the cops and I definitely got her back that time! Well if you have any pranks you have pulled or gotten pulled on you write in in my comments! I love pulling pranks! I especially like to scare people! I like to scare Nick the most! It is so much fun! he tried to scare me once and I screamed so loud it scared him back!!! Gotta love it! Happy April Fool's Day!!!

I'm back!

What can I say? My life has been crazy these past few weeks! For one, I haven't had the internet for the past 2 weeks and then we had my entire family here at our house for Crew's blessing. Whoa! What a crazy time in the Odom household that was... if you could only see the pigpen we are living in right now! Its time for a little SPRING CLEANING! I can't wait to get my house back in order! Well I also did something pretty dramatic... I cut 9 inches off my hair! I love it! I definitely needed this change, and lets be honest, hair grows back! Right?!? I am loving the change but still trying to get use to it. I am constantly trying to fling my hair back and there is nothing to fling. When I get my camera all set I will post my before and after pictures! Tell me what you think! What else has been going on?? Well most importantly we had Crew blessed at our home on Saturday, March 15. What a wonderful blessing Nick gave. It was so special and intimate to have it done in our home with our entire family. What a blessing it is to have a husband who holds the priesthood and is able to bless our son. Nick is such an amazing father and husband. I couldn't have asked for anything more. He is truly amazing. The blessing he gave was just absolutely perfect. He was so in touch with the spirit and knew exactly what needed to be said to our little angel. I must admit, I probably will never have a blessing in church. It was the best experience and so memorable to have it at our home where we will raise our children. Crew is one amazing child and I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to be his mom. What a great calling in life we have as women to raise our children and teach them to grow into amazing children of God. I love being a mom and it has only just begun!! Life is Great!!! A sweet farewell!

Last night a couple of girls went out to have a last girls night with Becky Proudfit. We started out the night by going to Shar's new boutique , Bags that fit, and saw all the amazing things in her cute store. Some of us buying some fabulous things might I add! Then we headed off to the one and only, literally, Cheesecake Factory! We ordered what seemed to be an outrageous amount of appetizers. Within minutes, everything is GONE! Could we say a lot of hungry girls? Well after eating an avocado egg roll, I AM SICK! Seriously sick. I had to hurry to the bathroom and try to make myself feel better. That didn't work. So I went back to the table and our food was there, I couldn't eat a bite. What a waste!! And out of all nights I get sick when I get to have the ever so tasty, Chicken Madeira. It is so good for those that haven't tried it, it is a must! So after a few hilarious pictures and "good times" talk, we left the restaurant and went home! I must say we had a good time, even if I was feeling sick! I love my friends! Nikki, what can I say? We are too much alike, and I love it! We laughed all night!!! Especially being stuck in Kelly Tate's midget back seat! I swear you have to have the smallest legs to fit back there! Oh and the best was the yelling to hear everyone from the whistling of the ski rack! AMAZING! Thanks for driving K. Tate! It made for some good times and memories! CREW!!!!! For being the best baby in the world! He hit a major milestone last night. HE SLEPT THROUGH THE ENTIRE NIGHT! What else can a new mother ask for? AMAZING! Nick called me this morning from work and asked if he was dreaming or if he had just slept through me getting up and all. And to my delight, it wasn't a dream and he wasn't being a bad dad and sleeping through it all! It was true! Now, I have to say that Crew had been sleeping like 6-7 hours at a time for the past few weeks, but he would wake up still at 5 am or so. Last night it was almost 8am when I heard the cutest little cry that always says' "Mom give me some food!" I went in there and he had the biggest smile on his face! I loved it. What a fantastic mood I am in. How funny the littlest things can make me so happy! I am on cloud 9! Whoo hoo!

Happy Birthday Bree! I know this is a little late, her birthday was yesterday,March 3. I just want to tell Bree how much I love her and how much she means to me! She is one of my best friends and I don't know what I would do if she weren't in my life. We became friends right when I first started dating Nick. Bree and Marsh were Nick's immediate neighbors. What great neighbors to have I might add.(Boy do we miss you guys right there!)Bree has been there for me through some of the roughest days in my life and the most amazing days in my life. She is the person that I know I can always count on to make me smile. She is an amazing person. She is a wonderful mother of two beautiful kids, and a FABULOUS wife! What a blessing she is to everyone around her. I just cant say enough about Bree. She is one of the few people that know me like I know myself. She is more like family to me. I love her so much and am so thankful to her for the great times we have spent together and the memories we have made! I can't wait for the million more memories we have to make! I love you Bree!
